Online Newsroom: It's a No-Brainer

TEK Group International has released a survey of 350 journalists reinforcing what you probably already know: that an online newsroom is absolutely essential to conduct 21st Century Media Relations.

Some of the findings:

  • 100% of the journalists who took the survey said that having an online newsroom was important, with 61% saying it was “very important”
  • 98% of journalists prefer to receive information via email
  • 80% of journalists said it was important to get a PR person’s cell phone number for more immediate access
  • 92% want to be able to search your archives for past releases. Direct quotes from the survey: “please, make the content searchable” and “list press releases by date and do not make me click on a month or a year . . . press releases should also be searchable.”
